With a maximum of 12 guests, we serve local made reindeer sausages around campfire, homemade vegan chai tea- the Boukersen Heim's specialities, and a touch of a passionate guide plus an excellent driver, this tour focuses on a real arctic experience, personal connection and comfort. 

Explore the most stunning fjords around Tromsø with Boukersen Heim on a relaxed and scenic day tour. This small-group experience gives you time to enjoy wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and peaceful Arctic nature. Experience the magic of the Arctic winter while spotting wildlife like reindeer, eagles, moose, seals, and even whales!

Your guide shares local stories, history, and knowledge about life in the north. We stop for photos, short walks, wildlife spotting - and a BBQ meal with 100% real local made reindeer sausages for a lifetime experience, and vegan options, hot drinks, and a cozy atmosphere around the fire. Even though doing the campfire, we pride ourselves on sustainability and leave no trace behind.

To keep you warm during the Arctic night, we provide thermal suits, hand warmers and toe warmers, but we still recommend wearing your warmest clothes, gloves, and shoes. 

This is not a big-bus tour. It’s a personal, authentic experience designed to make you feel taken care of from start to finish.

With only max 12 guests per tour, the experience feels personal, calm, and authentic — perfect for travellers wanting real connection with nature and local cultures.

Your Guide & Driver: Martin Boukersen

Martin is one of the founders of Boukersen Heim — born and raised in Norway, with Norwegian and Tunisian roots, and a genuine love for the Arctic. He has a background from the military and studies in history, but what really defines him is how much he cares. He knows this region deeply — the weather, the landscapes, the quiet places most people never see — and he shares it with honesty and warmth. Guiding for him is not a job. It’s something he does with his whole heart.
